  • What time should my child arrive for Mud Hero Kids?

    At least 1 hour prior to the start of their wave time.

  • What can my kids do for the rest of the day?

    They can join the Mud Bash where there will be food, beverages and music. They can tear it up on the dance floor if they have energy left after the race!

  • Can I drop my child off while I am participating in the adult course?

    Unfortunately no. A parent or guardian must be present while your children are participating.

  • Where can I find more information about Mud Hero Kids?

  • Can I run alongside my child? Is there a fee to do so?

    For children ages 4 and 5 it is mandatory for a parent or guardian to do the course alongside the child. For children ages 6 and 7 a parent or guardian may choose to run the course alongside the child. There is no fee for parents to run alongside children ages 4 to 7.

    For the 8 to 11 year olds we ask that parents or guardians offer support from the sidelines.

    There is no cost for parents to run Mud Hero Kids with their children.

  • How long is the course?

    The course is approximately 500 metres and features 6 kid-sized obstalces. Different age groups will run the course one or more times. 

  • Can my child run the course more than once?

    Depending on your child’s age, they may do more than one lap of the course.

  • Do kids need to show ID?

    Kids do not need ID, but a parent/guardian will need to sign a waiver for their child. 

  • What locations will Mud Hero Kids events be offered?

    All of our 2016 event locations will have a Mud Hero Kids event.

  • Can I register on-site, or do I have to register online?

    Online registration closes the Sunday before the event and is $35. Event day registration is available at a cost of $40.

  • What time are the Mud Hero Kids events?

    There are four wave start times for Mud Hero Kids – 10 a.m., 11 a.m., 12 p.m. and 1 p.m. When you register your child, the exact wave start time will show up based on your child’s age.

  • My child is 13. Should he or she register in the adult or kids event?

    13 in the minimum age for the adult course. So a 13-year-old should register in a regular Mud Hero event. So a 12-year-old, who turns 13 by December 31st, 2017,  should register in a regular Mud Hero event.

  • What if my two (or more) children are among different wave times?

    Please sign them up as assigned to their age, and on event day, please let the Kids attendants know. They will accommodate.
